Lee Seung-woo (Sint Trawiden), who is wandering in the Belgian League, is scheduled to transfer to Portimonence, Portugal Primeira Liga (first division), rather than the K-League pro soccer.
According to the Portugal League Secretariat on the 2nd, Lee Seung-Woo’s Portimonence loan transfer documents were received with the closing of the winter transfer market.
In this regard, several local media outlets in Portugal reported that “Lee Seung-woo will play on loan until the end of this season, and the contract includes a complete transfer option.”
The Portimonence team failed to sign Sporting striker Gonzalo Plata (Ecuador). Accordingly, after contacting Lee Seung-woo, the contract was signed just before the transfer market closes.
Lee Seung-woo, a former FC Barcelona youth team in Spain, transferred from Serie A Verona in Italy in 2017 to Sint Trawiden in Belgium’s Jupiler League in August 2019.
Lee Seung-woo scored only two goals in the first 13 games of this season. Also, after coach Peter Maes took office in December of last year, he was not included in the list.
Lee Seung-woo has missed all nine games so far. Lee Seung-woo, who was pursuing the transfer, drew attention by contacting K-League 1 Suwon Samsung and Jeonbuk Hyundai.
Meanwhile, Portimonens is ranked 13th in the Primeira Liga this season.
