Exceptional kicker Neymar wants to stay with the French defending champion Paris Saint-Germain and hopes that Kylian Mbappé will also tie his future to the club. Striker Neymar joined “PSG” in 2017 after the club had paid Barcelona a record € 222 million. Since then, rumors have persisted that Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, who was born in the Brazilian city of Mogi das Cruzes, could return to the Catalans.
“I am very happy today. Things have changed a lot, I can’t explain exactly why – whether it’s just me or whether something else has changed, ”said Neymar, whose contract expires in June 2022. “I’ve adjusted, I feel calmer and I’m very happy here. I want to play at PSG and I hope Kylian stays. That is of course what every PSG fan would like … I have a sibling relationship with Kylian … We really enjoy playing together. We want PSG to be a great team and I want to keep doing what I do every day in Paris – play football and be happy. That’s the most important thing, ”said Neymar in an interview.
Mbappé still has an eighteen month contract left and new PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino has downplayed reports that the French striker might join Real Madrid.
