At the beginning of next week it should be possible to enter discovered coronavirus mutations into the epidemiological reporting system.
The mutations of the corona virus are also spreading in Salzburg. Specifically, there is a high probability that the South African mutation is circulating in a kindergarten in St. Johann and the British one in a kindergarten in Wals-Siezenheim.
Both variants are significantly more contagious than before. With the South African mutation, the incubation period could also be significantly longer. An infection could be three weeks ago instead of ten days as before.
