The 8th edition of “My blood for others” is counting on you

In France, 10,000 doses are needed every day to treat a million patients. For this, it is essential to maintain the regularity of stocks. But with the health crisis, the traditional collection points (companies, administrations, high schools, universities) had to close their doors. Like the universities, which regularly host the collection campaigns of the French Blood Establishment (EFS). They are an important resource, since this is where we find the high rate of donors. In 2019, 18% of donors were between 20 and 24 years old.

The key word: regularity

The “My blood for others” campaign attempts to make up for the shortage of donations by doing everything possible to ensure the health security of donors. Collection will be by appointment, via their website or by phone for those who have not yet gone digital.

An approved mask will be assigned to each donor upon arrival, after hand disinfection. These three collection days are also essential to deal with the annual drop in stocks at the end of January, due to holidays, flu epidemics and going on vacation.
