In the last hours a message has been viralized on social networks inviting to donate blood to help the injured in the fatal accident that occurred in Cuba this Saturday, as a consequence of which a dozen people died and another twenty are admitted.
“This morning there was a massive traffic accident involving a bus with teachers who were traveling from Havana, they need to urgently donate blood to the Blood Bank of 23 and 2. There are several injured, some in critical condition. Please spread the news ”, can be read in a note posted on the Facebook group“ Amigos del Motor ”, which was the space that broadcast the first images of the unfortunate accident on Saturday.
“Please I just cut and pasted this publication, those interested go to the address that says in the publication, which is at 23 and 2 Vedado, that’s where the blood bank is located, thank you,” adds the text, published by user Jorge Reyes.
Keeping the information basic, the news has spread on social networks extremely quickly.
It has also been reproduced in Facebook groups of Cubans living outside the country, which shows the commotion generated by the accident, which occurred when a Yutong bus fell from the Güines bridge, in the Mayabeque province.
At the moment it is not clear the origin of the message that calls for donations at the 23 y 2 Blood Bank, located in El Vedado, Plaza de la Revolución municipality, in Havana. The request has not been confirmed by the official media.
A total of 24 patients, including two girls aged 2 and 11, remain hospitalized in Cuba as a result of the accident that this Saturday caused the death of ten people, after the bus in which they were traveling fell from the Güines bridge, in Mayabeque.
At this time, 17 patients are receiving medical assistance in Mayabeque and another seven are being treated at the Miguel Enríquez hospital – two of them seriously, are being treated in Havana, according to a report from Cuban Television.
