Dominique Filleton is known on the Facebook groups “We are Moulinois and Bourbonnais when” and “When you knew Montluçon like that! »Where he regularly posts old photos.
“To keep myself busy, I started spending time in the archives and posting photos of my finds on Facebook, it worked well,” says Dominique.
In 2013, he published his first book, on the Montluçon swimming pool, today abandoned. He collaborates with the Champs Élysées Paris editions, held by the writer Philippe Chatel, in Néris-les-Bains, and then connects books of old photos.
Dominique Filleton continues his exploration of the city of Montluçon [Archives 2017]
His biggest bookstore success, When you got to know Montluçon in the 60s / 70s, sold 1,500 copies. He sold 400 copies of Former sportsmen of Montluçon since 1885.
Agent of the city of Montluçon, Dominique Filleton had to stop working due to a disability in 2016. His passion has only grown since. He has published around twenty books of old postcards, for different cities, Montluçon of course, but also Moulins, where his mother is from, Montmarault, Vichy, Saint-Amand-Montrond, Bourges …
Dominique Filleton is not only a defender of the land and of history, he is also keen on various facts and assiduously watches the programs of JeanMarc Morandini, “Crimes et fait divers”, and of Christophe Hondelatte, “Bring in the ‘accused “. He took the plunge in this year of confinement and wrote his first fiction, published in December 2020. The novel Crimes in Bourbonnais is intended to be very readable.
Many dialogues also make the author want his novel to be adapted to the screen. Crimes in Bourbonnais is also very bloody: “I had a plot in mind, I sat down in front of my computer and gradually, the ideas came. My internet search history must have aroused the suspicions of General Intelligence (laughs). The story fed on itself and I had to go back to previously written chapters to add, edit or remove certain elements to keep the plot consistent. This is the most difficult. “
Dominique Filleton is already writing a new novel, still as bloody and rooted in Bourbonnais.
