YouTube today announced a test of a new feature called Clip, the ability to allow users to cut short clips and share them publicly, similar to that on Twitch.
The Clip feature will now only be tested on certain creators’ videos. Both creators and the general public will be able to cut clips into short clips of 5 – 60 seconds in length, resulting in a new URL that can be shared online.
