There will be no Ranji Trophy matches this time; BCCI announces decision

Mumbai: The Ranji Trophy has been abandoned. This was announced by the BCCI. The BCCI has made it clear that it is difficult to organize the tournament under corona restrictions.

For the first time in 87 years, the Ranji Trophy has been abandoned. Meanwhile, the BCCI has announced that it has decided to go ahead with the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The women’s ODI series will also be held.

Due to corona restrictions, the BCCI had to conduct the Ranji Trophy in two stages. But the competition had to be abandoned because of the high cost. The cricket tournament resumed in January after a hiatus following the spread of the corona virus.
