The New York Knicks were interested in Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls that summer, and that shouldn’t have changed. The Knicks are looking very closely at Chicago and how the Shooting Guard will continue there.
Sea Ian Begley (CUT) The Knicks are still interested in LaVine, the New Yorkers would be ready to talk if Chicago should ask around about a trade. In the summer, the Brooklyn Nets were also involved in the two-time dunk champion, but this suffered due to the trade by James Harden.
LaVine can become a free agent in summer 2022 and will probably require a maximum contract. The new regime in Chicago around President Arturas Karsinovas recently said that flexibility was the highest priority in the Windy City. There were no rumors about a possible trade this season. The trade deadline for this season is March 25th.
The Bulls are currently in tenth place in the east with a balance of 7-10, so their first playoff participation since 2017 is definitely possible. This is also possible because of LaVine, who has so far this season 27 points, 5.3 assists and odds of 50 percent from the field and 40 percent from the triple line.
