Liverpool left defender Costas Tsimikas said that he met Mohamed Salah through Ahmed Hassan “Coca” after he moved to the English team from Olympiacos last summer.
Tsimikas said in his statements to the official website of Liverpool: “I did not know him before, but I played in Olympiacos with a colleague in the Egyptian national team (Ahmed Hassan Coca).”
He continued: “When I signed with Liverpool this player called me and he was with Mohamed Salah, we started talking and then the next day we took the same trip from Greece to Austria (the beginning of the preparation period for Liverpool), in order to start preparing.”
He added: “We got time there to talk a lot and from the first minute, we were close friends. He helped us a lot with the team. He is one of my best colleagues here at the club, not just a player who is a very good man.”
He continued, “We spend a lot of time in the training center and he is very friendly with me. I am very happy that I am close to him.”
