Hospital centers in the health area of A Coruña and Cee carried out 31,480 surgical interventions last year despite the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in mid-March. The operating rooms of the Complexo Hospitalario Universitario de A Coruña (CHUAC) welcomed 28,459 operations, while in those of the Hospital Virxe da Xunqueira de Cee 3,021 interventions were carried out.
The data provided by the health authorities also collect that the mean waiting time for patients with priority 1 pathology was 16.1 days, figure “well below” the target set in 30 days.
