Premier League Spurs lost to Liverpool
Tottenham Hotspur‘s season took a turn for the worse on Thursday night as they suffered a demoralising 3-1 home defeat against Liverpool.
The sense of optimism and unity around the club at the start of the season has evaporated after a poor recent run, and Thursday night saw the squad hit rock bottom.
According to the Daily Mail, Jose Mourinho‘s substitution of Serge Aurier at half time prompted a furious reaction from the right-back, and he left the stadium immediately.
“It is difficult to accept the nature of the goal, because it was a replica of the opportunity that they had in the first minute,” Mourinho commented.
“Therefore, of course, the players were not happy.”
