Representatives of the maple leaf won a gold and a silver in the pursuit.
Quebecer Valérie Maltais and her teammates, Ontarians Ivanie Blondin and Isabelle Weidemann, crowned the day with the conquest of gold in the women’s section of the event.
The Canadians took the opportunity to set a track record in two minutes and 54,640 seconds. At the same time, they obtained a second gold medal in as many races in this discipline, after their triumph last week at the same place.
Maltais of La Baie, as well as Blondin and Weidemann, each from Ottawa, edged the Dutch by 0.94 seconds and the Norwegians by 3.58.
Earlier today, Canadians Ted-Jan Bloemen, Jordan Belchos and Connor Howe completed the race in second place in three minutes and 39.943 seconds.
They conceded only 0.86 seconds to the eventual winners, the Norwegians.
Bloemen, Belchos and Howe took bronze in the same discipline at the same place last week.
The podium was completed by Russia, at 2.32 seconds.
The Heerenveen World Cup will continue on Saturday and Sunday.
