Today, the world of comics should have been in Angoulême … if a global pandemic had not decided otherwise. Faced with the restrictions due to the health crisis, several publishers are getting organized: the editions Glénat for example, we launched a series of lives with their authors named to the official selection, on twitch, as well as an artist alley. And at Delcourt this is the collection Pataques who runs his own festival, entirely on Instagram.
Launched in September 2018, the collection led by the author James offers comic books. We were able to discover comics by Fabcaro, Geoffroy World, Marc Dubuisson… this branch of Delcourt has developed a lot on Instagram: one-page gags lend themselves well to pre-publication on the social network, and we can thus discover many previews. It is therefore quite naturally on Instagram that the collection will lead its own festival. Today and tomorrow, you will be able to discover a new original strip every half hour from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., so 20 strips per day and 40 strips in all. About fifteen authors from the collection were involved in this initiative.
If you are not too much into Instagram, know that all the strips will be gathered in a digital booklet, with a presentation of the participating authors. This will be available on the editions website Delcourt. See you now and until tomorrow night on Instagram account of Pataques to follow the mini-festival.
