A delicate period …
The year 2020 was marked by an unprecedented pandemic, which once again demonstrated to us the spirit of solidarity of the French and in particular their commitment to blood donation, at a time when the reserves of blood products were dwindling in due to the health crisis. Needs remain significant at the start of 2021: every day in France, 10,000 blood donations are needed to meet the needs of patients. The generosity of donors is therefore essential!
Anti-covid measures
All precautionary measures are implemented on blood drives to avoid the risk of transmission of the virus with the wearing of a mask compulsory for all, accompanied by measures of distancing and reinforced hygiene.
People who have exhibited symptoms of Covid must wait 28 days after symptoms disappear to donate blood. You can travel to donate blood by completing the official certificate on the grounds of “assistance to vulnerable people”.
