Fertilizer is delivered to small producers in Morelos – Imagen Agropecuaria

In the state of Morelos, 4,786 small-scale corn producers received fertilizer that is part of the Fertilizers for Wellbeing program in Morelos, reported the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Sader).

He highlighted that as of January 27, 2,542 tons had been dispersed in the entity, with an approximate coverage of 8,474 hectares. The total number of small-scale corn producers to benefit is 5,554.

The support consists of four bundles of urea and two of DAP, adding a total of 600 kilograms of fertilizer per hectare, with a maximum support of up to two hectares per producer.

At the same time, to make better use of inputs, the Representation of Agriculture in Morelos will hold 12 technical seminars to link producers with nationally recognized specialists and support them to improve their production practices.

The Representation will bring together national experts to support producers on issues such as: plant nutrition, importance of organic matter in the soil, identification of pests and diseases in the crop and the Milpa Intercropped with Fruit Trees (MIAF) system, among others.

The seminars will take place starting today, Thursday, January 28, and will conclude on April 15 of this year, at 5:00 p.m.

All seminars will be broadcast live through the representation website www.gob.mx/agricultura/morelos.

Producers who meet 90 percent attendance at the seminars will receive a digital participation certificate.

In order to obtain the certificate, producers must register in the league that will be shared for each seminar, through the representation’s twitter, and meet an attendance of 90 percent.
