Company founder Hans Dockendorff (61), who wants to “gradually say goodbye to retirement”, sold his company to his successor Willi Lauk (56) at the turn of the year.
He was looking for an attractive product with which he could identify: In 2019, he became aware of the Bockenauer at the “German Business Exchange”. As a trained steel construction fitter, mechanical engineer and business economist, Lauk brings a lot of experience and knowledge to the table. Even his father built gates for nuclear bunkers during the “Cold War”.
Lauk comes from the Saarland and lives in Nierstein. The new boss has promised the workforce that there are no plans to change anything at the company location. Eva Dockendorff will stay with the company as an authorized signatory, as will her mother Katja Dockendorff, who is involved in the office.
