Facebook disables the Balearic Resistance account “for not complying with community standards”

Facebook has disabled the account of the Balearic Resistance platform for “not complying with the community standards” of this social network, which raises to those responsible the possibility of a “review” to reverse the situation. “If you think we have disabled your account by mistake, we can tell you the steps you need to take to request a review,” Facebook proposes.

The social network usually disable accounts that have been the subject of a significant number of reports by other users. The Balearic Resistance account on Facebook cannot be updated, although it is still visible. The promoters have accused the social network of “censorship.”

The platform has called a new motorized demonstration against the Government’s restrictions next Saturday, although the Government Delegation in the Balearic Islands has not yet authorized it.

Precisely these last days Balearic resistance has spread posters of the demonstration on Facebook with the slogan “Shall we go for a walk?”, which seems an invitation from the organizers to march on foot despite the restrictions due to the pandemic.
