Manama: The IMCC greeted the farmers’ tractor rally in Delhi on Republic Day. G.C.C. The Committee organized the Solidarity Fellowship. The meeting, which was held online on the eve of Republic Day, was chaired by Lok Tantric Janata Dal National General Secretary Dr. Inaugurated by Varghese George.
He said the new farmer’s law amendment was a breach of the farmer’s law for corporates and the danger that farmers would no longer have the right to sell their produce freely and ultimately the full control of crop prices would fall into the hands of corporates. In the future, these amendments will create artificial shortages and hoarding at the behest of companies and lead to the complete collapse of government-led public distribution systems. He said that farmers would not have any legal protection in case of breach of contract rules and that the Central Government had made this law for corporates. Varghese George added.
The meeting opined that it is the duty of every Indian, including expatriates, to stand with the farmers in the crisis affecting the country. IMCC G.C.C. Chairman Sathar Kunnil presided over the function. G.C.C. General Convener Khan Parayil welcomed and convener Rafeeq Azhiyoor thanked. ‘Pratibha’ Bahrain Secretary Livin Kumar delivered the keynote address.
