In turn, Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson for the Medical Committee of the World Handball Championship, stressed that the health safety of food providers is monitored and a thermal survey is conducted for them throughout the day, and awareness seminars are also organized for workers in restaurants and kitchens in hotels. To follow up the implementation of all the health and preventive measures that must be available during the process of preparing food and providing it to delegations, in addition to implementing the work of disease vector control in the places of residence of the delegations and participating teams, and combating flying and crawling insects and rodents with public health pesticides recommended by the World Health Organization.

He pointed to the provision of medical service to 97 members of the delegations participating in the tournament, during the activities of Monday’s matches, and to provide them with the necessary treatment, stressing that all of them are in good health.

The official spokesperson for the medical committee for the World Handball Championship stated that first aid was given to 8 members of the teams on the field and in good health, and medical services were provided to 31 members of the tournament participants and members of the organizing committees, through 8 mobile clinics stationed.
