The Respiratory Diagnostics Center of the UNC Medical Center named the main signs that a person has had a coronavirus. According to Dr. Amir Barzin, there are three such symptoms in total – shortness of breath, joint pain and muscle pain.
Joint pain is observed in 14.9% of patients with COVID-19, British scientists note. Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing is another definite symptom of coronavirus infection. Those who have been ill may experience fibrosis – scarring of the lung tissue, which is a consequence of breathing problems, reports Ura.ru.
The scientists also added that the fear of contracting coronavirus greatly weakens the immune system. Because of this, the body becomes more vulnerable.
Previously, doctors called a disease that makes a person vulnerable to COVID-19.
