– Prosecutor Seo Ji-hyun (48, 38th Judicial Research and Training Institute), the starting point of the domestic ‘Me Too’ movement by exposing the victims of sexual harassment in 2018, is going to a civil suit against the second perpetrators.

Prosecutor Seo said on his social network service (SNS) on the 26th, “The extinctive prescription and disciplinary prescription for major secondary perpetrators in the prosecution against me will be completed this week.”

Prosecutor Seo explained, “It is very sad that no one is being punished or disciplined by directly covering the perpetrator, the second perpetrator, or the prosecution’s family,” he said. “I decided to make a civil lawsuit with the lawyers.”

In 2018, Prosecutor Seo revealed that he had been sexually harassed by Ahn Tae-geun, the former head of the prosecution at the Ministry of Justice. Afterwards, Director Ahn was handed over to the trial on suspicion of inflicting a personal disadvantage on Prosecutor Seo, but was confirmed innocent after an appeal and repatriation for destruction. The sexual harassment allegations were not applied after the probable period.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, the prosecutor said on the previous day, “There is still a lot of ridicule and obscenity toward the victims of sexual violence.” In this regard, some glances came out that the prosecutor mentioned the excommunication of the Justice Party leader Kim Jong-cheol.

In this regard, the prosecutor stressed that “we are asking for correction” and “we strictly request to take responsible measures”.
