The’Korea-China Relations Future Development Committee’ is an organization that gathers experts from both Korea and China to prepare a roadmap that suggests the direction of the development of Korea-China relations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations. In principle, it was agreed to launch in November last year at the Korea-China Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.
President Moon and President Xi evaluated that the two countries have maintained close cooperation and communication even in the coronavirus situation, and decided to promote human-economic exchanges while strengthening quarantine cooperation and ensuring quarantine between the two countries. In addition, the two leaders decided to continue to communicate and cooperate closely to promote high-level exchanges, including President Xi’s visit to Korea.
Earlier, on the 24th, President Xi sent a congratulatory letter for President Moon’s birthday. In his letter, Xi said in his letter, “We value the development of Korea-China relations, and hope to further develop Korea-China relations this year by working with President Moon.” President Moon expressed his gratitude to the congratulatory letter and replied, “I hope this year will work together with President Xi to make a leap forward in Korea-China relations and promote peace on the Korean Peninsula.”
