López-Gatell He also pointed out that we are currently in a scenario where there is very little availability of Covid-19 vaccines In the world and vaccine producers have decided that they are going to sell vaccines to national governments, so he said that if a state government could acquire vaccines it would be undermining the national objective.
However, he ruled out that the latter could happen.
“Fortunately, this risk does not exist to the extent that private individuals want to purchase vaccines, as the producing companies would tell them ‘wait,'” he said.
Although he considered that it is a coordinated effort, where federal entities or social and private entities collaborate with the Ssa to achieve the vaccination policy, he called on maintaining respect and adherence to the national vaccination policy.
What are the guidelines established by the DOF?
The agreement published in the DOF, establishes in the face of the current health emergency, it is required to establish an extraordinary action in matters of general health, for which competence is given to the Health Secretary to entrust the states, in their capacity as health authorities, as well as individuals and legal entities from the social and private sectors, to implement the vaccination strategy against the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Given this, it is called to define joint actions so that whoever seeks to acquire on their own Covid-19 vaccines adhere to the following guidelines:
- All vaccinations and supplies must be of the highest quality available and meet the necessary sanitary requirements.
- The procedures for the authorization of the registration, importation and release of vaccinations will be considered as a priority due to their importance for the public health and national security, and that in emergency cases, these procedures will be attended to immediately.
- Present the contracts that they sign with the pharmaceutical authorized in Mexico, for the acquisition of SARS-CoV-2 vaccines.
- Report the number of doses of vaccinations acquired against SARS-CoV-2 virus and those applied to the general population, with disaggregated information in accordance with the National Vaccination Policy against the SARS-CoV-2 virus for the prevention of Covid-19 in Mexico.
- Respect the calendar, as well as the priority for groups of people, established in the aforementioned National Vaccination Policy, to avoid duplication.

- Implement the pertinent prevention and control measures in accordance with the criteria issued by the Federal Ministry of Health, and
