Wood is made in winter. As early as October, the loggers will go to work. Not only those armed with chainsaws and forest machines, but also those in thick fur and with sharply ground incisor teeth: beavers prefer to tinker with trees in the cold season. The traces of her work, gnawed and filled trees, have been found in the Black Forest for several years, but now also in lower elevations in the region.
