They urge Russia, the global coalition against ISIS and the Syrian government to avoid a “catastrophe” in the region
Any attack by Turkish military forces against Kurdish militias would unleash a war along the border, warned Zeidan Asi, co-chair of the Defense Corps of North and East Syria on January 25.
During an interview for the ANHA agency -reviewed by Sputnik- he specified that they do not rule out the possibility of a “Turkish attack against the region.”
Fact that would lead to a “catastrophe” after the development of an “open and endless war” from Derik (Al Malikiya in the northeast) to Afrin (in the northwest) with “destructive results in Syria and the region in general.”
He called on Russia, the global coalition against the Islamic State (ISIS) and the Syrian government to prevent the attack by Turkey.
“Avoiding it is the responsibility of all these powers,” he declared.
