Man falls into the track bed and is hit by the S-Bahn

Accident at the main train station in Hamburg: A man was run over by an S-Bahn. He suffered serious injuries.

A man was hit by an incoming S-Bahn at Hamburg Central Station and seriously injured. As a police spokesman announced on Sunday morning, the man fell on the tracks at around 1:10 a.m. on the S-Bahn platform of the main train station. An arriving S-Bahn could no longer brake and hit the man.

The fire brigade recovered him seriously injured and took him to a hospital. According to the police spokesman, there is no evidence of third-party negligence. Who the injured man is and why he fell on the tracks was initially unclear.
