The investigation is moving forward after the spectacular escape of a patient held in police custody at the Nantes University Hospital on the night of Thursday 21 to Friday 22 January. Two men are now indicted for collusion of escape. They were presented to an examining magistrate this Saturday, January 23. One of them is 21 years old and was already known to the police. The police arrested him directly after the intrusion of eight hooded individuals in the emergency department. We do not know however who is the second suspect indicted, or how he was arrested since an investigation is underway.
Other suspects still at large
The investigation is continuing because the individual these two men allegedly helped to get out of the hospital is still at large with other accomplices. The escapee is a 23-year-old man. He had refused to submit to a police check on the night of the escape while he was driving his 4×4. Following his arrest, he then complained of stomach pain and was therefore taken to hospital.
