After these events, Liga MX published a statement establishing new security measures so that players or members of Mexican football avoid carrying out activities outside the rules, emphasizing that they will be separated from the campus for 10 days and will have to pay an economic fine of 100,000 pesos.
“The LIGA BBVA MX, the LIGA BBVA EXPANSIN MX and the LIGA BBVA MX Femenil, as well as the Clubs and all their members, have demonstrated since March 2020 that their commitment to health is the priority in decision-making and that the responsibility of all the players in our football must be absolute on and off the field. If a member of the Clubs is caught not respecting the Sanitary Protocol of the MX LIGA in events not authorized by the Club, they must be separated from the campus for a period of 10 days and will reincorporate presenting a negative PCR test to the League.
