– Collin Sexton feasts on the Brooklyn Nets! Shining in the Cleveland Cavaliers’ first win over the Nets on Thursday, Sexton once again wreaked havoc on the franchise-led Steve Nash (125-113). With 25 points and 9 assists, he took advantage of his opponents’ defensive difficulties to make a difference.
Well supported by Andre Drummond (19 points, 16 rebounds) and Jarrett Allen (19 points, 6 rebounds), Sexton played just to take down Brooklyn, deprived of Kevin Durant. However, Kyrie Irving (38 points) tried to multiply. But his duet with James Harden (19 points, 11 assists) was insufficient.
Why Collin Sexton’s performance is a bad sign for BK
– If Sexton has so confirmed, Joel Embiid continues to step on the Boston Celtics. For the second time in a row, the Philadelphia Sixers dominated the Massachusetts franchise (122-110). And the Cameroonian interior signed an XXL copy: 38 points, 11 rebounds. In front, Jaylen Brown (42 points, 9 rebounds) did try to answer, but was a little too lonely in the absence of Jayson Tatum.
Conversely, Embiid, in addition to being successful individually, received support. Tobias Harris planted 23 points, while Seth Curry (15 points) and Ben Simmons (15 points, 11 assists) were also active. Philadelphia fully assumes its status as the best team in the East at the start of the season.
– Luka Doncic is rising slowly, but surely in power. The Slovenian was the great architect of the success of the Dallas Mavericks on the field of the San Antonio Spurs (122-117). The young prodigy flirted with the triple-double (36 points, 11 assists and 9 rebounds) to carry his team in a tense match to the end.
To obtain this second consecutive victory, the Mavs could also count on Kristaps Porzingis (21 points, 8 rebounds) and Tim Hardaway Jr (21 points). For Spurs, this game got off to a bad start immediately with the injury exit of Dejounte Murray. DeMar DeRozan (29 points) and LaMarcus Aldridge (26 points) tried to compensate, in vain …

– During overtime, the Denver Nuggets managed to win on the wire against the Phoenix Suns (130-126). As often since the start of the season, Nikola Jokic was still monstrous: 31 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Author of a decisive basket, Jamal Murray (18 points, 9 assists) also had a nice impact.
The battle was good, however, with the performances of DeAndre Ayton (27 points, 13 rebounds), Devin Booker (31 points) or Mikal Bridges (24 points), but the Nuggets were ultimately more solid in the money-time.

– In another hooked game, the Houston Rockets beat the Detroit Pistons (103-102) for a few hundredths. On the last possession, Jerami Grant thought to give the victory to his team on a lay-up … but the match was already over! A furious setback for the Motor City franchise despite the good game from Delon Wright (18 points).
For the Rockets, Eric Gordon (20 points) was the top scorer with a rather efficient collective despite the absences of John Wall and of Christian Wood.
– Despite a Evan Fournier performing (26 points, 9 assists), the Orlando Magic lost on the floor of the Indiana Pacers (118-120, ap) after extra time. Unfortunately for Floridians, Nikola Vucevic (24 points, 12 rebounds) was a little too clumsy (10/29 on shots) to make a difference in this game.
A l’inverse, Domantas Sabonis (18 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists) was very clean and could also count on the supports of Malcolm Brogdon (23 points), author of the decisive basket for the victory, Jeremy Lamb (22 points) and Myles Turner (22 points) to win.

– Rather irregular since the start of the season, Bring young was in good shape last night! With 43 points (including an 8/12 from long distance), the leader was brilliant in the victory of the Atlanta Hawks against the Minnesota Timberwolves (116-98). Still struggling without Karl-Anthony Towns, the Wolves still posted big gaps. With in particular a very small match for D’Angelo Russell (9 points). Note the triple-double of Clint Chapel : 13 points, 19 rebounds and 10 blocks!
– Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was a little too lonely to perform a miracle. Despite his 30 points, the young talent of the Oklahoma City Thunder had to admit defeat against the Los Angeles Clippers (106-120). In reality, Luguentz there (19 points) still supported him, but the Clippers duo was even stronger: 31 points for Kawhi Leonard, 29 for Paul George.
This is the 6th win in a row for the Californians. They found a good rhythm after a mixed start to the season. Note that the good performance of Nicolas batum, author of 14 points at 5/6 on shots.
MVP Race Vol.1: Who is best placed to dethrone Giannis?
– Third victory in a row for the Chicago Bulls! On a good series, the Bulls took the best of the Charlotte Hornets (123-110). As is often the case at the start of this exercise, Zach LaVine was the boss of this team. Thanks in particular to his 25 points, 9 assists and 6 rebounds. To accompany it, Lauri Markkanen (23 points) and Coby White (18 points) also had a nice impact. In front, Gordon Hayward (34 points) tried to resist, but the Hornets collective was a tone below.
– Without Jimmy Butler, the Miami Heat took to the water against the Toronto Raptors (81-101). With a relatively weak performance, last year’s hapless finalist fell victim to the Habs. OG Anunoby (21 points) and Norman Powell (23 points) participated in the dominance of the Raptors. On this match, they never doubted with a large lead from the first quarter …
– The New York Knicks are down. At home, the Sacramento Kings won (103-94) in the wake of an excellent Harrison Barnes : 21 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. While De’Aaron Fox (22 points, 7 assists) also contributed to this success, the rookie Tyrese Haliburton (16 points) still marked the spirits out of the bench. For the Knicks, Julius Randle (26 points, 15 rebounds) and RJ Barrett (21 points) still fought well.
