January 21, 2021: It’s been 30 years since the district office published the first district brochure, at that time only for Steglitz. In the meantime it has grown from originally 100 pages to around 240 pages, and a current district map is enclosed with it.

Of course, there is also the possibility of collection, for example at the municipal offices in Steglitzer Schloßstraße 37, Zehlendorfer Kirchstraße 1/3 and Lankwitzer Gallwitzallee 87 or in the libraries of the district.
For three decades, the square district brochure has been providing interesting information about the district, vividly describing sights and the history of the district, listing memorial plaques and steles as well as leisure facilities for young people, identifying women-specific contact points, baths, sports facilities, playgrounds and schools and naming theaters, museums, galleries, Cinemas, leisure centers, hospitals, clubs and institutions with addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail and Internet addresses.
The signpost, which appears annually at the beginning of each year, also provides information about the locations of departments or departments of the district office, introduces the members of the district office Steglitz-Zehlendorf in words and pictures and lists information about the district council meeting.
Employees of the district administration, such as the team of the social psychiatric service, the participation specialist service in the youth welfare office, the building construction service or the internet editorial team also clearly describe their area of activity.
Under the tried and tested rubric “Active for the district”, various institutions in the district use the opportunity to present themselves and their work. B. the student company project of the Wilma-Rudolph-Oberschule, the guardian angel house, the repair café, the child guardian angel on four paws or the neighborhood help Berlinickestrasse.
Of course, “district anniversaries” are also described by competent sources, such as 20 years of Rumpelbasar, 50 years of the water sports community Wannseehafen eV, 100 years of 1.FC Wacker 1921 Lankwitz eV, 110 years of allotment garden colony Heinrichstraße eV or various school anniversaries, etc.
There is also the heading “Be active in the district”, which invites those interested to go on discovery tours in Steglitz-Zehlendorf.
