Hispanic work truck stolen east of San José – Telemundo Bay Area 48

A Hispanic family will be financially impacted after a van with tools parked in front of their home east of San José was stolen.

The theft caught on camera occurred around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Matherton Drive area.

In the images you can see the moment in which the suspect approaches the truck with a flashlight in his hand and opens it.

The suspect took the truck that contained between $ 10,000 and $ 14 worth of tools.

Edwin, a robbery victim, claimed that he used the truck and the tools to do plumbing work, however, although the police recovered the truck, his tools are still missing.

“Yes, they stole my work tool, with what I live,” said Edwin.

Neighbors of the area assure that the car in which the suspect was traveling has been seen several times in the neighborhood.

“There are other people who say that same truck that you see was parked waiting has been walking through the neighborhoods at the same time,” said Adela Ávila, a robbery victim.

So far the police have made no arrests related to the case.
