The world of French cinema is in mourning again. A few days after the death of Jean-Pierre Bacri, the actress Nathalie Delon died this Thursday, January 21. It was his son, Anthony Delon, who announced it on Instagram. “RIP Mum” the 56-year-old actor simply wrote in the caption of a post that includes a photo of him and his mum snuggled up in his arms.
“My mother died this morning at 11 am, in Paris, surrounded by her relatives. She died of rapid cancer” then informed the actor to AFP. A new blow for the actor who must already face the important health concerns of his illustrious father, Alain Delon.
Alain Delon loses his ex-wife
Romy Schneider, Mireille Darc, Dalida, Anne Parillaud … if Alain Delon was known for his status as a tomboy, he only married once, with Nathalie Delon. The actor married the one who is actually named Francine Canovas, in 1964, the year of their son Anthony’s birth. When they divorced in 1969, Alain Delon dated several actresses before finding the balance with Rosalie Van Breemen, the mother of his two other children, Anouchka and Alain-Fabien. If they were together for 14 years, they are never married so far.
For her part, Nathalie Delon did not remarry either … she who had already taken the plunge a first time before Alain Delon. The actress was indeed married to Guy Barthélémy, the father of her daughter Nathalie. Actress until the 1980s, Nathalie Delon tried her hand at directing and signed two films: “They call it an accident” in 1982 and “Sweet Lies” in 1988.
