Singer Whee-seong (real name Choi Hwi-seong, 39), who was charged with taking the sleeping anesthetic propofol, was sentenced to three years in prison. Wheesung admitted most of the charges.
According to Andong Branch of the Daegu District Law on the 22nd, on the 19th, the prosecution held a trial with Wheesung and acquaintance A, who indicted without custody for violating the Narcotics Control Act.
The prosecution requested that Wheesung be sentenced to three years in prison, and Wheesung is known to have admitted most of the prosecution’s charges.
He is accused of taking Propofol several times around December 2019.
In April of last year, the Gyeongbuk Police Agency investigated Wheesung in an imprisoned state and sent it to the prosecution with an opinion of prosecution.
At the time, the police investigated and caught Wheesung’s purchase of Propofol in the process of checking drug-related intelligence.
Wheesung’s sentence is scheduled to take place on March 9.
