This is the first time that catering employees have expressed their anger, for the time being via a Facebook page and by towing in Bordeaux. They hope to mobilize at the end of February to make themselves heard as far as Paris.

The slogan hit the mark: “Tired of dying in silence! A Facebook page created just five days ago and already 1,800 requests to join the group (as of Mercreid January 20). In support of this movement which expresses the anger of those who would like to work but who cannot. Jonathan Favreau initiated this process. He is a chef for three brasseries in Bordeaux. “Fed up. Sorry to talk like that, but we can’t take it anymore” he blurted out.
“We want to return to our jobs.”
The approach is initially intended to make the voice of catering employees heard. Not the bosses, but all those who find themselves in particular in partial unemployment. “My bills, my rent, that’s not partial.” With 86% of his salary paid, he misses the 14% to pay the bill every month. “I am in a state of nervousness, it is no longer possible” confides the exasperated chef. “At Dassault, they serve 500 covers every day and we 40 covers, we can’t”. Jonathan Favreau alludes to these companies, like that of Mérignac, which provide collective catering for their employees. And this is not the first time that the comparison is put forward, experienced as an injustice.

A leaflet has been published in a few thousand copies and it is displayed on the windows of downtown Bordeaux. The latest news is that there is no reopening planned before April 6, or even mid-April. They are no longer sure of anything.
