In view of the latest information transmitted by Météo-France, the department of Gironde has just been placed on ORANGE vigilance for the risk of strong winds. This alert is valid for the entire department from tomorrow morning 6 a.m. until 14h.

The expected gusts could reach 100 to 130 km / h or even locally up to 140 km / h on the coast and 90 to 100 km / h in the interior. The peak of the gusts is expected during the morning of Friday. Gradual attenuation from the west towards midday.
The Gironde coastline is also placed on yellow submersion waves vigilance from 9am tomorrow.
Behavior advice:
- limit your movements;
- do not walk in the forest and on the coast;
- be vigilant in town in the face of possible falls of various objects;
- do not work on the roofs;
- do not touch any electric wires that have fallen to the ground;
- store or secure objects sensitive to the effects of the wind or liable to be damaged.
