An action was held this Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Mans (Sarthe) to denounce the discomfort in the health sector. The CGT took the opportunity to honor, in his own way, the staff of theMans hospital.
They (and they) are nurses, caregivers, midwives, stretcher bearers, bio-cleaning agents or in charge of catering … All have had a role in the fight against Covid-19 but the recognition leaves much to be desired. their eyes.
They are not asking for medals but for better working conditions.
Decorated .. for glory
The CGT union of the Center hospitalier du Mans (CHM) took the bull by the horns and organized a fictitious medal ceremony in front of the doors of the brand new Plantagenêt building, the new entrance to the Manceau establishment.
A dozen agents were thus decorated for the glory… Enough to put a little balm in the heart of these “heroes” of the first line.

Lack of beds, human and financial resources
In the midst of a health crisis which mobilizes all energies, many caregivers are at the end of their rope …
“Heroes are capable of exploits and of extraordinary courage. Certainly ! But they also need human and financial resources. […] We ask to work humanely, to live with dignity and to be socially recognized ”
Among the demands: a “significant increase” in the number of beds in hospitals, but also in nursing homes, SSRs, HADs, etc. In a word: an end to the closure of beds and services.
In the balance, we must also put staff with “massive hiring in all health, social and medico-social sectors”
The small group then joined the departmental gathering in front of the Sarthe prefecture, place Aristide-Briand. They were about fifty braving the rain.
