(Unità Naziunale – Mass Struggle – Published on January 21, 2021) Three years ago, when the new President of SIS 2B took office, Bastia staff denounced for the umpteenth time the problems affecting their barracks: aging premises without regular and consequent maintenance, staff reduction, real departmental operational dynamics etc …
However, since the firefighters have been able to measure the main road taken to straighten the Bastia barracks with:
Bringing electrical panels into conformity following an injunction issued by a control body, the installation of surveillance cameras or rather video protection, the installation of lighting, a “refreshment” for what serves as a refectory and kitchen, camping tables and chairs for dining, some menu items and tinkering here and there.
WHAT A BALANCE SHEET! Bastia firefighters were hoping for the implementation of the 1.2 million plan voted in 2018, planned for a major renovation, that is to say the complete opposite of what has been materially achieved so far and what is far from corresponding to the building maintenance required for such a structure.
WHAT HOPE! To date, the project for a new barracks only exists through a promise, so the time lost to start it up delays the solution for the Bastia firefighters by as much.
WHAT SATISFACTION! despite an official request issued by the service to strengthen the Bastia rescue center with 6 professional firefighters, it is this same service that leaves applicants unanswered (so that young recruits are not affected in the field despite a significantly reduced staff.)
Bastia’s firefighters were able to appreciate the condescension shown to them with a press release intended to be a response to the unfair treatment they have suffered for years, in fact proud and inappropriate formulas for those responsible for this rank complete an answer which even in the media cannot withstand an objective analysis of the facts, so to answer the mirage of words here is the shock of the photos.
look where the Bastia firefighters are working.
