‘Black Panther’ Chadwork Bozeman dies after fighting colon cancer…

[아시아타임즈=김지호 기자] The Associated Press reported on the 29th (local time) that Chadwick Bozeman, who played Tichala, the virtual nation of Wakanda, in the Marvel movie “Black Panther,” died at the age of 43 after fighting colon cancer.

According to Yonhap News and others, Bozeman’s public relations officer said that his family protected him from his home in Los Angeles (LA).

The family said in a statement that Bozeman was diagnosed with colon cancer four years ago.

They said, “He was a true warrior,” said Bozeman, “he received countless surgeries and chemotherapy while filming the movie’Marshall’.”

He also added, “It has been a lot of love through the movies,” he added. “It was the greatest honor in his career to play the role of King Tichala, especially in the movie Black Panther.

Until now, Bozeman had not informed of his fighting against colon cancer.

Bozeman debuted with’The Third Watch’ in 2003, and was featured in the first black major leaguer Jackie Robinson’s biographical film ’42’ and the black godfather James Brown’s biographical film’Get On Up’. In February 2018, when the Black Panther was released, he personally visited Korea and shared greetings with domestic fans.
