“One nation under God, indivisible, with freedom and justice for all!” she exclaimed at the end of her performance. This is the Spanish version of the pledge of allegiance to the flag of the United States, translated into French as “A nation united under the authority of God, indivisible, with freedom and justice for all”.
The message, which has not gone unnoticed on social networks, appears as a strong symbol on this end of presidency day for Donald Trump. The latter has continued to be accused of fueling divisions in the country, in particular by increasing racist attacks against people of Latin American origin. He also promised to build a wall on the border between the United States and Mexico, a measure which Joe Biden plans to quickly put an end to.
