The German Weather Service has warned of gusts of wind in NRW. The region is also affected.

The German Weather Service warned of squalls in North Rhine-Westphalia on Thursday morning. There could be gusts with speeds between 60 km / h and 75 km / h, in “exposed locations” with gusts of up to 85 km / h must be expected.

In the morning, the warning applied to the entire state, including cities such as Wuppertal, Krefeld, Düsseldorf and the Viersen district. The warning for NRW was initially valid until 8 a.m. on Thursday. In the night of Friday, however, an “increase in wind” must be expected again.

In the early morning, the WDR reported impairments from fallen trees or objects on the road – for example on the A44 in the Aachen area. Motorists should drive accordingly carefully.
