Slovenia won its first match in the main round of the Handball World Cup at the expense of Macedonia, and rose to second place in Group D, which includes Egypt.

Shortly after, Egypt will play with the Russian Federation in the first round of the main group stage of the tournament, while Sweden will play Belarus at 9:30 pm.

Slovenia will play Sweden in the second round next Friday, while North Macedonia will play the Russian Federation on the same day.
