The bookstore of the Museum of Art and History of Judaism is open

By Sponsored Published October 19, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. Updated January 18, 2021 at 3:36 p.m.

The library of the Museum of Art and History of Judaism offers a collection of 5,000 titles on the art, history, literature, philosophy and cultures of Judaism. It is located on the ground floor of the museum, in a magnificent room in the Hôtel de Saint-Aignan, and is accessible to the public.

If the Museum of Art and History of Judaism is closed, its bookstore is open, and offers thousands of essential titles. Its bookstore is a reference fund on art, history, literature, philosophy and, more generally, the cultures of Judaism. The MahJ team offers a selection of books according to current events in the museum (exhibitions, auditorium, etc.) and editorial news.

You will also be pleasantly surprised by the decorum of the bookstore: one of the most beautiful rooms of the Hôtel de Saint-Aignan, adorned with the remains of grisailles with a mythological theme, painted by Rémy Vuibert (1607-1652) for Claude de Mesmes, Count of Avaux, first owner of the Hotel.

Currently, you can check the availability of a book in the bookstore fund and reserve it with one click! The bookstore has indeed joined the independent bookstore networks Paris Bookstores and Booksellers Square.-

The mahJ bookstore is at your disposal at [email protected] and by telephone on 01 53 01 86 49.
