Ziyang (real name Park Jeong-won, photo left, 24), a famous’eating-bang YouTuber’, announced that the opening of the snack restaurant under his name was overly expensive and overwhelmed by controversy that the amount was small.
Ziyang recently announced the opening of a’garden snack’ named after him near Isu Station in Seoul.
Before the official opening, he went through a test period in which only acquaintances were invited, and the process was publicized on his YouTube and Instagram.
However, controversy arose as the menu image spread to the Internet community (pictured above).
According to the garden snack menu, the tteokbokki is 6500 won, the rice bowls are 10,000 won, and the side menu is set at 7,000~8000 won. It was pointed out that it was more expensive than the general snack price.
Furthermore, the ‘Tsusajang Set’, consisting of two drinks, including Byeondae Tteokbokki, Jjambbong Tteokbokki, assorted tempura, Montecristo sandwich, and cocktail chicken, amounted to 37,000 won.
When the news was announced, some netizens complained that the price of snacks was not cheap, but the amount was too small. In particular, criticism that it was too contradictory to the image of Ziyang, who earned a lot of profits from eating with the image of’Gourmet’, was intense.
One netizen said, “I am a’Mokbang YouTuber’ who has become famous for eating a lot, but my restaurant is an exception.”
In this regard, Wonbun-sik said, “We will postpone the opening for better development” through an Instagram notice. It is also reported that related Instagram and YouTube posts were also deleted (hidden).
Meanwhile, eating YouTuber Ziyang announced his intention to retire after being suspicious of YouTube’back advertisement’ in August last year, but announced his return to the broadcast in November after three months.
