Around 50 vehicles were stopped and checked at the Mönchengladbach-Ost motorway exit (A44) between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. today (January 19, 2021) by the Düsseldorf Federal Police Inspectorate.

The measure took place in consultation and close cooperation with the Mönchengladbach police.

In the course of the mission, the following findings were made:

Three drivers were advertised to determine their whereabouts. All data could be recorded and sent to the relevant authorities.

Two cases of driving without a driver’s license could be discovered and reported.

Two violations of the Narcotics Act. In one case, the officers seized a small amount of amphetamine. The other offense involved possession of a small amount of marijuana.

A vehicle driver is being investigated for attempted coercion and resistance to law enforcement officers. The Mönchengladbach public prosecutor’s office and the KK11 of the Mönchengladbach police headquarters were informed of the incident. The suspect was released after all local police measures were completed.
