FIFA has officially announced the launch of tickets for the FIFA Club World Cup matches that will be held in Qatar.
The Qatari Al-Duhail championship, Al-Ahly, the African champion, Bayern Munich, the European champion, Ulsan Hyundai, the Asian champion, Tigers Unal, North, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF) champion, in addition to the Libertadores Cup champion, which will be decided on January 30, will participate in the tournament.
A draw for determining direct confrontations is scheduled to take place in Zurich, Switzerland, on January 19.
“Starting January 18, FIFA cardholders in Qatar will have the opportunity to purchase FIFA Club World Cup tickets through the exclusive pre-purchase offer provided by Alibaba Cloud,” FIFA said in its media release.
“Fans have an exclusive opportunity to get match tickets on FIFA / tickets using your Visa card until 12:00 AM Doha time on January 21,” he added.
He continued, “A range of affordable tickets is available on a first-come-first-served basis, at prices ranging from 10 Qatari riyals for a third category ticket for the first five matches to 300 Qatari riyals for a first category ticket for the final.”
“The tickets will be available to the public starting at 13:00 Doha time on Thursday 21 January until the end of the tournament, and the two sales stages will operate on a first-come, first-served basis,” he noted.
“In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the host country will provide the guarantees required to protect the health and safety of all participants in the tournament,” FIFA said in a statement.
“At present, only residents with identity cards, citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and holders of exceptional entry permits (EEPs) can enter the country, according to Qatar’s visa and entry protocols,” he added.
The statement stressed, “The attendees will be required to present either a negative COVID-19 antigen test, a positive COVID-19 antibody test, or proof of complete vaccination.”
He added, “Those wishing to obtain tickets from outside the country are advised to refer to the current visa and entry requirements applied by the State of Qatar, in addition to the travel restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, and please note that the quarantine rules apply to all arrivals to the State of Qatar.”
“In the stadiums and surrounding areas, attendees must wear a mask, adhere to social distancing, and undergo a temperature check upon arrival and show the status of their precautionary application. Clinics will be established within each of the tournament locations to treat anyone with symptoms of COVID-19.”
