Eight young people go to Prague with Erasmus

Eight young people from the local youth missions of Nîmes Métropole and Petite Camargue are going to Prague for a four-week internship as part of the Erasmus program. Despite the health crisis and the restrictive measures due to Covid-19 throughout Europe, five young people from the Local Youth Mission (MLJ) Nîmes Métropole and three from the MLJ Petite Camargue de Vauvert take their fate in hand and go to the Czech Republic to carry out internships in companies. The Erasmus + lifelong education program is intended to be a springboard for career paths. Interns will work in the areas of marketing, communication, graphics, social and early childhood. This project is entirely funded by the Erasmus program and the Occitanie Region, and implemented by the Maison de l’Europe in Nîmes. For the past three months, young people have had the opportunity to participate in training, including intercultural and linguistic learning at the Maison de l’Europe and on video. The departure will take place on Saturday 23 January from Marseille-Marignane airport. Apart from travel, accommodation and catering, which are covered, the Czech partners will also offer a cultural program allowing trainees to discover the Czech Republic during their stay.

Upon their return scheduled for February 25, all participants will be invited to take stock at the Maison de l’Europe and the presentation of Europass mobility certificates.
