The Assize Court of Aveyron meets again this week to judge the facts which take place in Rodez, from May 5 to 6, 2017, for the first case, then in Marcillac in October and November 2018, for the second case.
Two other cases are on the program for the second week of this session. It starts today and ends on Friday.
The first case is a case of rape committed in Rodez, rue de la Penderie, on the night of May 5 to 6, 2017. The accused, born in Djibouti in 1985, will also have to answer for violence with the use or threat of a weapon during that night. The victim was 21 years old at the time of the incident.
She will be defended by Me Cédric Galandrin. The accused, imprisoned in Mende, in Lozère, will be advised by Me Patrick Theron-Lapeyre. Until then, the accused has always denied the facts.
Assault on his spouse
Thursday and Friday, the Aveyron jurors will devote themselves to another rape case. This time the case concerns a man born in 1984, a native of Hérault, but living for a number of years in Aveyron. He is judged by violence and rape committed on the night of October 9 to 10, 2018, but also in November 2018, in Marcillac-Vallon.
Assaults that were committed on his wife. He will be defended by Me Bruce Flavier. The victim, by Me Elisabeth Rudelle-Vimini.
The accused has been imprisoned since the events. This case is part of “an important alcoholic context”, of the accused, according to his lawyer Me Bruce Flavier.
Throughout this week, the role of Advocate General will return to Bernard Salvador.
