On the door, we can see two plaques. One mentions the Community of the Sacred Heart, the other that a chapel is there. That it is open to the public and all you have to do is ring the doorbell inside.
The backyard at 1 rue Châtillon therefore houses a chapel. More precisely that of the congregation of the Fathers of the Sacred Heart.

Guide Thomas Wilwert indicates that the building is located on the site of the old Saint-Gengoulf church and the old Châtillon hotel, which housed the Notre-Dame-de-l’Espérance clinic, but also a boarding school which operated until 1872.
The chapel was blessed in 1861, its entrance is topped by a remarkable Gothic-inspired stained glass window.
For a question of insalubrity, the Sisters of Hope left the building at the beginning of the 20th century, which was then taken over by the Oblate fathers and the fraternity of the Sacred Heart.
