On Tuesday, the organization’s employees received a call from one of their rescue workers that a dog had been attacked with a machete in the Saskatchewan community near Edmonton and that it was in urgent need of help, they write Edmonton CTV News.
“The sight of the dog showed cuts and blood everywhere,” Erin Deems, executive director of the Saving Grace Animal Society, told the media.
The dog went straight to surgery, where the animal was sewn with more than 100 stitches on the head, back and legs.
Now the attack on man’s best friend is a police case.
The machete attack is said to have been preceded by a dog fight, after which a neighbor of Parker’s returned and let his frustration run wild with a gun.

To emphasize that many dogs are victims of abuse, neglect, or cruelty, the animal welfare organization has Photos of the wounded dog uploaded to facebook. The veterinarian bills of the injured animals are often very high.
The members of Saving Grace Animal Society therefore live the dream of opening their own veterinary clinic, which could reduce costs. That is why the animal rights activists would like to thank everyone who donated to Parker’s case.
The dog should now be mostly pain-free. “This is one of the toughest dogs. He does it really fantastic,” wrote the organization in a posting on Wednesday.
